Lesson 5 - Lesson 6

Finally, I completed lesson 5 today. Working slowly through the last few exercises, I reached the control questions.

During the outing yesterday visiting friend's house for Xmas, I had a chance to read through the GMS Manual, the theoretical part of the course. After knowing more about the theory, I had a better understanding of the memorization process and started to appreciate the various types of exercise done throughout the lessons. Without this knowledge, the exercises seemed a bit odd and strange as I were not aware not of the actual application. I also noticed that the exercises built upon each other.

The first exercise of lesson 6 was a multi-level systems of support images. I had the first taste of this in lesson 5. Lesson 6 solidified the skill even more. Moving on to the next exercise, I just realized that the skill and images in previous exercise were used to memorize the 50 states of USA. As this was applied knowledge, I liked the exercise.

My task tonight would be to complete this exercise so that I could memorize the states with perfect recall.
